He actually contributed and won a GC.
Fun fact - when it was his turn with the actual Cup, his dad hosted a house party and hired a piper. My best friend ran the scoreboard at the time, and got invited. She brought me, and I have photos of me drinking champagne* out of it...
*It was probably Baby Duck or Spumonte Bambino, but who really cares at that point?
