I never had any expectations, especially for a player who hadn't played in two seasons in the first place when signed. He was the guy who was supposed to make you forget they let Ciraco walk when they closed the wallet '21. Landing Beard makes it all moot and thankfully it all worked out. |

I didn’t think so at his age anyways, but I don’t read too much into minicamp invites. He did play in the NFL a bit - think it was sandwiched between Redblacks and Edmonton playing days. |

Too many season-ending injuries. I never even thought of penciling-in his name in a depth chart. In fact, I had him on the 6-game to start the season.
I'm certain he had discussions with the team, but the timing is iffy. Why just before TC starts? Same with CVZ. Guy gets a surgery a couple of weeks before the season. Will probably start on the 6-game again, so I certainly hope the team gave his salary a SEVERE haircut.

As countfloyd1 mentioned on The Prowl, the 3DN article now states that he was released. If the team didn't want to take the chance of retaining an expensive, injury-prone, veteran player, then why is CVZ still on the roster? <cough cough>BLM</cough cough> |

Mild surprise. Timing is odd. Before two injuries ago he was dynamite in Condell's run/catch packages. Trust the process.
