Crash, you might not want to watch this one. Maybe if you want to break things down, because this team, under Orlondo, is BAD.
Outscored 20-6 in the second half. FAR too many penalties.
With Papi going down, followed by Timmeh, and all of a sudden we're out of backup receivers. We lose Randle, and all of a sudden we are VERY short on DBs (and his replacement was targeted 2 plays later for a TD).

Needed defense to make stops when it mattered. They didn't. But we're all going to obsess over other things except Mark Washington and how this expensive defense has been an enormous disappointment.

Just finished. Was able to watch the first half at the ACC (or whatever its called now).
Some quick thoughts cause im pissed off.
- 12 penalties for 130 yards - absurd. absolutely absurd for a veteran team.
- The game was basically over when we settled for a FG on the 2 yard line. Hills runs the ball the entire way down the field and you throw a back of the endzone ball to Smith. There isn't another team in the league that would have been that stupid.
- With the new rules and the other team fielding the ball on the 40 after a FG, you really have to consider going for it in that spot. I get that you're down 2, but a FG is almost useless giving them the ball on the 40 yard line. Run the ball on 2nd down and try it again on 3rd. I wouldnt have argued with the short yardage package from the 2.
- This defense certainly isn't as advertised - a single, meaningful, aggressive, shut down stop when it counts and we have 4-5 more wins.
- Hills averaged 6 YPG and we only managed to get him 10 carries. 0 carries in the 3rd quarter. absurd.
- Dane Evans played well, but unfortunately the lack of playmakers still shows up at times. This team misses Speedy B.
- Tim White is playing very well lately, both he and Dunbar have to play at a high level for us to have any offensive output.
- Domagala is a liability punting the ball, he's not a professional punter. We lost 8 yards per punt to Montreal tonight.
Last week was a mirage, this team isnt going anywhere.

I didn't even think about the field position change if we had been stuffed at the goal line. Timmeh had three balls (I believe) that went through both hands (he was bailed out by a DPI that should not have had to been challenged). A REAL playmaker makes those catches.

I think that pretty much everyone that posts here has called out the D & Washington on a regular basis. The "super fans" over on the team board are the ones that don't.

Hamilton’s group of receivers is not what it once was, Tim White and Dunbar are good but shut them down and the O struggles. *Noel Thorpe and the Montreal D had no answer for Wes Hills particularly on the drive that ended up with the short field goal, give him the ball at the 2 yard line and they score a TD! *3rd and 2 near midfield, kick the ball to pin Montreal deep! This falls on the coaching staff, poor in game decisions have plagued Hamilton all season.

Guess who finalized his decision about next year? Season seats dropped.
I don't even want to hear the coaches comment on their decisions.
You can't magically make injuries go away but you can make smart decisions. Even I can assess field position and the clock.

This team misses Speedy B.
And Acklin and BA and Mauldin (on D)
Dunbar, Tim and Ungerer all had balls that could have extended drives.
Tim had another that meant sure points. (FG maybe more)
Smith had the one that was a TD (Although the way they went right down the field, 6 point lead wouldn’t have been any better than the 1 point lead)
I like all these guys, I know, better than any, that drops happen - but when plays are there to be made, they need to be made. When a stop is there to be made, it needs to be made. And the penalties were ridiculous tonight.
And I’m sure every one of those guys will say that exact same thing.
We let one get away tonight - 👎🏼

We have a bunch of good receivers, not great. I like Dunbar, I like T. White. Both are quality receivers, neither are #1 "The guy" receivers. 2-3 Jump balls thrown up to White are 100% caught by Lawler, Lewis (Its a big list)

Missed the game last night and not upset that I did.
Great observations on this board....as usual.
- Receivers - some good but no great receivers. Reality is none of them would be a number one on any other roster and most would be a 3rd option only. There is no shutdown elite receiver on this team that can be the game breaker. Another thing, why is Kiondre Smith not used more? One ball thrown to him last night is just stupid. - Rushing - Why bother to dress a running back at this point? You limit your RB to 10 carries even though he was averaging just over 6 yards per carry. Condell truly hates the RB position as any team where he has been the coordinator has never ever had a running game that matters at all. - Defense - Agree with the assessment and I think Washington should be looked at as one of the coaches replaced. No shutdown or killer instinct left with this group either.
Harsh reality is Hamilton needs both a new offensive and defensive coordinator as both are as stale as 7 day old timbits that have been left out.

This was Kiondre Smith's worst game so far. 1 catch with a fumble & the other drop in the endzone that had to be made, although that play should never have been called. Why they didn't run Hills in that situation is just ridiculous

Even with all of the other issues pointed out there was still an opportunity to win. Defense, especially lack of meaningful pass rush, cost the game, imo

Why they didn't run Hills in that situation is just ridiculous Smith took a major penalty early in fourth that was never explained.

Just moseyed over to the cheer site & there are posts about the team "winning out", lol. How the eff this team is gonna win a single game on the road doesn't seem to occur to them.
