Don Jackson re-signed. Huge. Committing to an American running back for 2 years. Not exactly on brand for this organization

Depth at Canadian receiver has been an issue for a while. If we could ever land at least 1 solid Cdn starter we'd be cooking with gas.

Last time the Cats did a ballsy move to get a Canadian receiver was Fantuz. Not saying either of these guys are in that league, but have flashed promise as decent sized slotbacks with some decent production.

“Cottoy is another. Giddens Jr (meh)”
Cottoy seems focussed in an NFL shot. Otherwise not sure BC would let him out of their sight.
Gittens seemed to make a lot of progress last year but I didn’t see him listed as a free agent on CFL.ca.
Not many others out there - Mitch Picton, Levi Noel don’t jump out. Often thought it would be nice to bring Petermann back home but not sure he’d be a starter. Shaq Johnson in BC, Richard Sindani Cgy all seem like decent depth guys but not much more.

Brescacin? I know he was injured, but not sure how bad it was.
Looking at the FA tracker on cfl.ca, it shows Ciante Evans as unsigned, but was updated with Simoni & Don J's signings yesterday. Not sure what's up with that.

J'Gared Davis doesn't seem thrilled by the teams offer(s).
That would be a huge loss. Coaching arrogance thinks everyone is replaceable?

Should be making North of 200, maybe even close to Jefferson money. Letting him go to double blue would be a big mistake. But Argos don’t seem constrained by the cap, I could see them going as high as even 250k. That would be tough to match.

Actually lots of teams esp in the east will out in offers on Davis. Argos just scare me the most as one or two extra puzzle pieces could put them into a Cup.

Dunbar is back.
Still need Davis, Wynn, Brooks, Rolle, Acklin for sure. I'm willing to forgive Ciraco's meh 1st year at centre; same thing happened with Filer & he turned out well.

Dunbar, Addison, White X2 are signed. Have to think it's either Acklin or a Free Agent at this point. Not sure I'm thrilled about that.

I'd bet we have cap room for both Acklin & a quality Cdn receiver. No reason we can't have both.

Argos favourites to sign J Davis? What the hell is going on.
