There's a few names in there I recognize - Roosevelt, Young, and Isaac - and you can't do much wrong poaching coaches from both WPG and TOR who have Championship rings.
The weakest link is, of course, Washington. I'm not exactly thrilled with his continued employment on this team.

I didn't much like his time in BC either.... All that said, the defense has seemed to pick up their pace in the back half of the season the last three seasons.

So who was Plan A for DC ? Corey Mace we know he'd be in Hamilton more often than Milo.

Glass half full ..it's entirely possible the buddy hires Milo had in mind (but obviously didn't get) could have been worse than Washington etc from lack of CFL experience.

You wonder how much say Stein had in the retaining of Washington? He is the President of Football Operations. You would have to think this is a "make it or break it" year for Washington depending on how his defence performs this year.

Washington overshadows the fact Boudreau is a great hire. Track record, coming from a successful staff and organization etc. Spitulnik ,not that it matters much, is a bit of a mystery. No clear Milo or CFL connections

Real question is who out there can take the D and run with it like Washington can? Need someone experienced.

Real question is who out there can take the D and run with it like Washington can? Need someone experienced. Maybe in a year’s time Richie Hall looks to get out of Winnipeg. Not sure how that demotion will sit with him. Milanovich did allude to thinking they had a future dc in the house between Young and Isaac so you never know. Get the sense that Washington’s defence really needs to shine this season or time’s up.

Won't lie. Keeping Stein and Washington hanging around another year feels half arsed . Easy for me to say I suppose.

I think that the Cats have a vastly superior head coach, however, that is where my optimism ends. Reinbold leaving again with the Cats passing on a big time kicker upgrade in Bede says everything I need to know about the state of the Cats franchise. While Lieggho is decent their punter is a borderline disaster where you are likely better off gambling on third down everytime then have that bum punt. We can blame Stein all we want but the reality is the Cats ownership are a group that truly has zero clue about actually running a successful football team. The limited success strikes me as a broken clock is correct twice a day scenario or the saying even a blind squirrel finds a nut. I feel for Milanovich to be honest, he has at least one year of the continued shit show management team before I think ownership is forced to clean house on that side.
The village idiot commissioner and his operations cap is in my opinion destroying the league. I believe that is the reason that more changes to management and coaching staff were not made.

Is Bede a significant upgrade? He is at punter to be sure but is Edmonton signing the 95% guy from last year? or the 78% guy from the year before? Aside from 2023 he's had one year above 85%. It's a gamble
