Simoni says he's not done.
Bo doesn't think he'll be back.
Steinauer can't possibly survive this can he?

How does the organization even try to sell the fans on bringing back Stein as the head coach? The guy bailed on his franchise quarterback in a playoff game!!!! Mitchell should have at least been in there to start the second half.

Mitchell should have at least been in there to start the second half. The franchise QB was 70% with no turnovers last year when he bailed on him in the 2nd half (after winning 6 straight to get INTO the playoffs) - I know I’m just the “disgruntled dad”, but I do know a little of what I speak. I’ve told y’all since ‘21 (claimed reps were 50/50) that he don’t know how to treat/coach the most important position in sports. But as long as S Mitchell wants him back, he’ll be back - there’s nothing the “fans” can do about it!! Oh BTW, I’m loving the meltdown on the other site, just wish I wasn’t banned 🤣

Oh BTW, I’m loving the meltdown on the other site, just wish I wasn’t banned 🤣 It's been apparent since at least 2019 that Steinauer doesn't know how to manage QBs properly. It's equally apparent that the poor talent evaluation extends to other position groups as well, not to mention the coaching staff. I went looking for details of Steinauer's contract & couldn't find them. The promotion to head of football ops was 2 years ago & no length was given by the club. You'd have to think it was either 2 or 3 years though. I think the club has to move on. Steinauer cost us the best chance of winning the GC since 2014 with "the kneel" stupidity, and when given an opportunity to have another home GC(which doesn't happen often in this town), bungled it badly. I've heard that S Mitchell was the one who wanted Bo, not Steinauer; I don't know how true that is, but at this point, Steinauer is Austin without the blowing up at reporters. His time in Hamilton is done. I know that Wpg hasn't yet re-signed Kyle Walters. He would be a good choice as GM, plus he has history with the team. And I don't know if he's available or not, but I would absolutely hire O'Shea as HC if he is. I know many Ticat fans would not agree, but I want to see them win a GC before I kick the bucket ffs.

Crickets from the Stein defenders over at The Prowl, but understandable since they only post when the team wins. I mean nobody can defend what we witnessed in Montreal yesterday.

There were a couple Stein defenders that now say it's time for a change and I completely respect the idea of not making a mid season change. The ones that are quiet are the ones that are playing a part. They're characters and know that if they defend him now they'll look like a horse's ass. It goes against the persona they've built and they aren't man enough to just admit they were wrong and he's not a good Coach. It won't happen for those people. They know he needs to go but won't admit it. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I thought Stein (as coach) would be the guy to take us to a Grey Cup. It won't happen. He's regressed as a coach and he needs to go.

Is being right a "told ya so" even though one never actually said "I told ya so" but pointing it all out is a "told ya so" without the words ?

A few questions... Does anyone actually have any faith that the Ticats will actually make changes? I have none and the golly gee awe shucks shit that Bob Young still tries to get away with is just plain annoying as is his caretaker BS. While he may have saved the team he has done nothing but put the wrong people in charge the entirety of his ownership. It really is time for Bob to put his big boy pants on and clean house starting with Scott Mitchell. If Mitchell is not turfed then he should be banned from all football operations for life no exceptions. Bo says he likely will not be back but if everyone takes a step back and looks at his performance why should he be and especially at $500K? Regardless of what happened yesterday he was nothing but trash this season and demonstrated why the Stampeders moved on. Does anyone think Stein would just move to the front office and give up coaching? I certainly do not as he gives off the vibe that he thinks he is the smartest man in the room for which he is not.
While I like that you are suggesting replacements why do you keep doing the dual role bullshit that is proven to not work? I want a president, a separate GM, a HC, an OC, a DC, and a Special teams coach. No Pres/GM, no Pres/GM/HC or any other damn combination. Barker would be a good president, McMannus GM, Milanovich HC and let him hire his other coaches. Then the GM can work with Milanovich to find the players that suit the latter's system of play. Maybe I am delusional or even crazy but they hybrid shit rarely ever works and is usually detrimental to a team.

I don't think Scott Mitchell is going anywhere, but they cannot keep Steinauer, & I don't think they will. If he had have pulled out the GC in 2021, that would've been a different story, but his way just doesn't produce results.
I also don't buy it that Young/Mitchell don't care about being better than .500
