John Madden used to say the time for talking is over, shut up and deal.
Cats are notoriously slow starters, partially because of the roster changes what seems like every year.
Fingers crossed this one is different but tough to expect chemistry out of the gate.
Let's get after it.

Love to be proven wrong but it may well be a long night. |

If I was placing a bet (and just may) I see one of those "close but not close games" where Ham trails by 9 but never really feels like we're in it.
Really though a ton of massive unknowns so who knows.

Really though a ton of massive unknowns so who knows. Yeah tough to call. Cats usually come up short true to form on the road in opening games. But at some point veteran rosters like the Bombers crest and become stagnant. I can remember the Bombers upsetting us at home early in 2011 and 2016. Bomber talent is still better, but this one will be a good measuring stick for the team Steinauer assembled, along with week 2 against the Argos. |

I'm predicting I'll be pissed off sometime around 11:30 p.m. just before I go to bed. This is one season opener I would LOVE to see the 'Cats win. I mean how many more times do we have to watch them fail in this situation?

It seems as if every year we open against a tough Western opponent - usually the GC finalists. This year, we get them two games in a row (not that I think the blew team is any good).

Hope TSN doesn't read Bailey Flint's wiki page. Theatre major. Studied drama in Russia Plays the ukulele. Recorded 40 songs. Will never hear the end of it.
After Josh Bartel maybe TSN has "its wild having an Australian in the CFL. .does aussie rules translate at all ..what's the deal with kangaroos ?" etc out of its system.

Don't worry. If Suitor is doing the broadcast he'll be too busy praising the whole Bomber team that he won't even mention anything concerning the Ticats unless it's "kick Simoni Lawrence out of the league".

I am surprised that your expectations were as high as they were. Most of the rest of us had those put at a sub terrain level a couple of seasons ago lol.
