Would HAM be the only city excited over signing a .500 HC and a fairly unremarkable OC as a consultant? Or is it a symptom of a fanbase desperate for hope and projecting ? Apart from likeability and experience what, in a tactical sense, is the attraction with this guy ? The glass-half-full Pollyanna nonsense is really starting to wear thin. It's hopeful desperation & it's really pathetic. You hit the nail on the head. Likeability & experience. That's it.

They have mental energy invested in seeing him fail.

I do not think that Condell will be fired anytime soon and I personally am not calling for that. I would like to see him work with Jones to improve the offense and make things better for the team if possible.

So consultant does 1 of 2 things.
It breaks the coaches cap without consequences, let's assume he's not an employee of the team but an independent consultant/contractor.
It MIGHT get around Montreal having to pay him the rest of his contract since there's probably a clause saying if he gets a coaching job it means they don't have to pay him (or only the difference in salary).
I don't condone the Cats breaking the coaches cap but after the stunt Toronto pulled last year.... What's good for the goose.
Continues to make the league look bush.

I think I saw a tweet about his contract being bought-out by MTL. Might have been on the other site.

But maybe the buyout says he cannot accept a "coaching" job this season That would all be in the fine print. All we have is speculation and accusations from the MTL ownership. That headset he was wearing may only have been connected to Orlondo, Condell, and Washington. Perhaps only Orlondo. Perhaps to th eQB, but we will never know. IF it was only linked to the 3 coaches, then he isn't -technically- "coaching" is he?

You're right. All we know for 100% certainly is that any wins are a result of Jones' influence. Any losses are on Condell.

Keep looking for "imagine what a Khari offense could have done with Acklin" type posts. Can't find any. Weird.
