Long time radio voice of the Bummers. Did TV work in the late 80s (CFN) when CTV bailed on the league. Not earth shattering news around here of course but he is the last of the old time football broadcasters when radio still sorta mattered and was still an artform. No gimmicks, no trendy lingo, just told you what was going on. Strong CFL defender.

They set up something called "CFN" which would broadcast games on independent TV channels like CHCH here. Irving and Dave Hodge did PBP. Neil Lumsden and at least one other did colour. It wasnt bad. Lasted at least a couple of years.

Apart from a mid week highlight show in the early 80s the CFL and the Ticats have been sort of strangers. Which is pretty bizarre when you think about it. Then again its Hamilton..

Weekly spot with either Coach Greg Marshall, Jamie Barresi or Joe Paopao?
