Lots of talk about the NFL OT rules.
Personally I can't stand either of them.
The NFL's at least feels like real football, I've never liked the CFL rule.
In the CFL the team that wins the coin toss also has a huge advantage, they know what they need to get.
What the hell is wrong with 1 15 minute quarter at least in the playoffs.

Never liked the "shoot-out". The previous OT format wasnt broke and didnt need fixing. No one asked for a change. But that never stopped the CFL.

At minimum for the playoffs something should change in both leagues. People apparently love the CFL format, no idea why.

Each team gets a regular possession. If the game is still tied, then it's sudden death.
Still a fan of two 5-minute halfs, maybe with the 3-minute timing.

Same as the NFL rule, but last night Buffalo gets a kickoff. If they score a TD they may go for 2 as they know they can't afford to kick to KC giving them a chance to win on a FG.

I think you've fixed it. that said, the NFL won't change, its more exciting being able to end on a TD
