as much as the team was disappointing under Hervey....
at least the Oline is in good shape moving forward, canadian starters and depth is half way decent for the first time in years, Dline has been constantly addressed, even if improperly, and Washington's gone. These are the positives i'm choosing to take out of his tenure.
Wondering what this means going forward, if Steinauer was really just pulling the strings all alone, if this gives (god help us) Chris Jones more wiggle room on the management depth chart, if we bring in someone else to be the face going forward? (Danny Mac? Jim Barker again? new blood?)

As for a replacement, I don't know...I think Danny Mac likes his cushy gig with Winnipeg. Barker? I'm torn between revulsion for his attitudes against women , wanting to see the team win another GC before I kick it. I've seen Ted Gouveia mentioned...he's supposedly a local boy currently with the Peg. |

I'm usually a fan of continuity at the GM position, but over the last four seasons NOBODY in the GMs office has really done anything to keep their jobs - or be promoted...

In fairness to Reinbold he was a legit good football man so making him DC wasn't outrageous. He also inherited a defense that included members that took it upon themselves to help get Kent Austin fired.

Since Danny Mac is likely to be a lateral move, it doesn't really make sense. But as you say, there must be a reason both are being referenced. |
