Washington should have never been given one game this year.

Washington should have never been given one game this year. This year? What about last year? After the poor showing of 2021 - even though we were a kneel away from a potential GC win, the Defence was rather putrid.

Were Stein and Washington a package deal and that's why we were stuck with him for so long ?

I believe this firing was a Scott Mitchell directive. No way was this a Stein decision. Mitchell and Young have noticed the actual lower attendance at games so they were forced to appease the fans because there is still half a season to go. Wonder if the twitter report of Jones being in Hamilton on the day of the game affected how the defensive players played the game?

Don't know if this is better, but it can't possibly be worse

I always kind of thought this, Wash seemed to just run Steinhauer's defense, but was slightly less good at it... whole coaching staff, including stein is familiar with Jones, so maybe this will be fine.... but SOMETHING had to happen after that Edmonton game

"Senior Defensive Assistant" - not Defensive Coordinator. Speculation time:
1. The title suggests to me that they are able to pay him a lower salary than a Coordinator; 2. This may be due to the Operations Cap; 3. Possibly could be extended and promoted to DC next season; 4. Does this nullify the contract he had with Edmonton?

I believe the staff (Stein, Hervey) strongly suggested that Milo try to work with Washington and Mitchell this year even though they were not his choices for this football team. He tried with Mitchell but it didn't work out but for Washington I still believe it was a directive from higher up that no doubt Milo agreed with.

Worst defence I have ever seen the Cats put on the field and that's over 50 seasons. #3 continously gets beat, the linebackers can't tackle or cover, Wilson is the best and the only one that should stay, the Dline is OK. Where th F#*$ are the NFL cuts? I have never seen them stick with so many bad players

Riders 3rdDN guy, Joel Gasson, says we threw Washington under the bus. I mean, geez, these guys are supposed to be providing insight for fans ?
