Laughable that anyone thinks that Bo needs to throw for 400 yards, but the defence doesn't even get mentioned. Spoken like it's 1985. Might be time to find something else to do rather than watching this shit show. Been saying that for a long time....Hence why I'm not watching and just getting occasional updates... By the way, this is going pretty much the way I thought it would so, no need to watch and get upset... |

Bo getting hooked was the only genuine surprise here, right ? yes. The INT which i posted on the other site was bad. But this isn't Bo vs Powell this is about whether or not Powell can be the guy and I don't believe he can. Move on from both for all I care but what's the alternative? |

Bo , overall, hasn't looked bad this year but he's been bad over the last 5 quarters. Powell is not the long term answer here , but, it's probably his team from here on out. I do not have any faith in this team to go out and actually evaluate talent, so, the best we can hope for is mediocrity as an improvement.
On another note, the next loss by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be the 200th loss of Bob Young's tenure...That's an even 10 losses a year on average...

Powell is capable backup. That's it. Making the leap to legit effective starter to get excited about is hard to visualize. Happy to be proven wrong but when's it supposed to happen ?

Three turnovers in the first three series - tow of which were NOT on either QB.
I haven't watched the replay, but it was mentioned in the PBP thread that Bridges didn't do Bo any favours by standing stock-still instead of running BACK to the QB - he may have made a reception or, at the very least, broken-up the INT.
I don't think BLM was EVER Milanovich's guy. It's almost as if there is some sort of conflict between them - possibly going back to M's first time in the League. If so, it's incredibly unprofessional, but it's what we have come to expect with this team.
I certainly haven't seen anything about Powell that makes me believe that he will "develop" into a premier starting QB. As OMD said - he's a capable backup.
I think Dunnigan was alluding to the team giving-up on BLM. If so, it's both a terribly shitty thing to do, and a reason to make the switch. Reminds me of the 2017 team. At least THAT team had some actual TALENT to compete with other teams.
