Bummers. Again. We lose a ton of match ups here. But...

Well we certainly won't be reading about how great we are this year and how we are the overwhelming favourite to win this game.
Memorable GC Upsets Include
1986 beating the shit out of Edmonton Toronto beating Calgary Ottawa beating Calgary 2019 Winnipeg/Hamilton BC over Baltimore in Vancouver
any others?

2001. Marcus Crandell's 8-10 Stamps beat Khari Jones' 14-4 Bummers. Prolly the biggest upset in this century.

Questions:
Where's Addison ? Who is home team ? Black pajama bottoms or gold like everyone wants ? Who calls game ? Assume its Smith and Suitor. Run over by the Juicer or a Stanback shutdown ? Neither ? Collaros was meh in WF. 6 team turnovers. Was this all weather related ? Bummer defense looked mortal in some situations ? Any Banks magic left ? Who attains permanent TC legend status ? Evans, Acklin, White (2), Jackson, A late-clinching INT by Rolle or Ciante ? A re-run of 2019 ? In and out privleges ?

Will Condell stick to what's working? Special package for Masoli? Can we still watch from the concourse?

Sask finished 3rd in west, 9-9 iirc, we were 12-6, I think?

The one most immediately relevant is the bummers' upset of us in 2019.
This one has the potential for an upset: losing team still has several players from that loss on it, the lost 2020 season prolonged that sense of a missed opportunity, losing team is playing in front of their home fans, winning team may be overconfident from both their excellent regular season record & overcoming a 6 turnover performance in the west final.

And not a single thing has changed. If anything we are significantly weaker at O-line. OTH Condell and Washington have had two years to mull this over.

Maybe im in an ultra positive mood today but i looed at the 2019 Grey Cup again during one of the quarantines, a couple things stood out to me. With the Cats driving early Speedy catches a ball, goes down right on the yellow TSN line, official gives him no forward progress, terribly spots the ball a yard further back, and the next play Watford gets stopped on 3rd down. Combine that with Dane Evans getting sacked and fumbling (usually pretty sure handed) and its two turnovers that shouldnt have happened. After those plays it spirals out of control, losing Banks... then of course the Mike Jones drop. Make no mistake we were outmatched on both lines, but I wouldnt be shocked if we pulled out on game, at home, one time. Also hate to go back this - but Dane has to start. If O considers anything else he's giving it up before we even show up. You cant spot Winnipeg 14 points and expect Dane to do that again.

Bummers take O-line depth hit. Backup centre cant travel.
