"Brand and Community Ambassador". Sounds just the right thing for Simoni to be Simoni...

He'll be on the wall sooner than later.

He'll be on the wall sooner than later. Wouldn't that literally be part of his new job? lol

More than a few fans really wanted to get mad at front office over Simoni not getting a contract. A lot of confused and furrowed brows now. He simply aged out on a team ambitious to get better. There's no tragedy or injustice here.

Don't think he really wanted to retire but then he see's the writing on the wall. Being offered a job with HSG allows him to remain in Hamilton and still be involved with the Tiger-Cats. One of the all-time Ticats who will deserve his place on the wall.

Like Crash said, this sort of thing can go sideways Banks style fast. Team and Lawrence both look good and deservedly so.

I wouldn't be surprised if he talked with someone like Rob Hitchcock. I know that last year in Edmonton was hard on him.
Simoni should eventually have his number retired.

Morreale retired, Hitch gave it a go. Definitely looked like the fat Elvis. You wonder if Banks was offered something similar but turned it down. Takes a big man to call it quits especially after he had a good year.
