I get the market value argument, strictly speaking, but doesn't top dollar mean you're an *elite*, impact receiver. Is Tim White that guy ? Nah. Who else in the league is "that guy"? He knows the cats have an extra couple hundred grand to spend with BLMs restructure, CVZ and Saxelid coming off the books for much cheaper options, and Williams likely coming in cheaper than Thurman. (that and his stats should take another boost not having to face off against Peters this year? lol) |

Mason Bennett has re-signed. He'd look good as Betts' backup I thought I read in the 3Down article he would be given a shot at a starting role and took less money to stay here. My guess is Betts is a real longshot. Or maybe Bennett could rotate in regularly between Betts and Barlow. He seemed to start hitting stride in 2022 but got injured early last season and never got regular reps on defence. |
