Been down and out with Covid for the last week, symptoms finally gone, tests coming up negative....
but i've been sorely lacking on actually preparation for doing Grey Cup stuff...
Any suggestions for things that I can still get into this week?
Also, who's going/still going to the game?

I thought the only thing worth going to on Grey Cup week are the team party headquarters at the Convention Centre as that is where most out-of-towners will congregate.. They have one hall set for the East division teams and individual halls for all the West division teams. The only thing I find a little pricey is that a one-day pass to all the team parties is $50. Of course if you want free there is always the food trucks, beer garden and music acts on James St. but that all stops at 8:00 p.m. every night.

Just don't expect to take the HSR anywhere. Fitting for this city to have a transit strike during Grey Cup Week...

Convention Centre as mentioned will be the main spot. Spirit of Edmonton though is always good but it’s at Bridgeworks near the rail yards at bayfront so a bit of a trek to get anywhere else - they get a live band and it’s usually better attended than the team parties. Advance tickets I’m told are already sold out so you have to line up at the door. Just a warning - can sometimes be a 45 min or even hour wait depending on numbers to get in.
Some teams may take over a bar for a few hours, have to keep your ears open. We’re going to the Corktown Saturday night, Box J Boys hosting a shindig with the band Funkhaus.
James St. will be similar to Supercrawl with a Fanzone in the armouries.
We’re still heading to the game, meeting up with some out of town people.

I think the only thing I'm attending is the twitter gathering at the Gown & Gavel on Friday. If anyone from here is going, introduce yourself! I'm more than happy to buy you a beer.

Grey Cup Tweetup was fun last night.
Lots of current & former players there: Henoc Muamba, Donovan Bennett, Solomon Elimimian, Chris Van Zeyl, Dylan Wynn, Farin Orimolade, Peter Dyakowski, Sherrod Baltimore, Matthieu Betts. GC was there as well. Was able to congratulate Betts on his great season.

Top-5 GC game. At least in MY lifetime (born 1921, so I don't really remember 1972). Prove me wrong. 1989 1986 1996 2023 ?
