I've seen a LOT of idiotic posts on The Prowl, but the "Orlondo should be fired if he rests our starters in a meaningless game vs the same team we will be playing in the EDSF" might take the cake.
Orlondo deserves to be fired, but not for a legitimate strategic move.

Orlondo deserves to be fired, but not for a legitimate strategic move. Havent seen that one yet. Don’t want White, Butler out there. Maybe give Sayles the week off. Limit time for Bo and some of the other defensive guys and anybody nursing any lingering hurts. Don’t want to mess with the oline too much and risk getting a qb killed - other than that treat it as intensely as an NBA all star game. |

How long did it take this staff to move on from Papi White, but players like Alden Darby, Boeteng, Acklin, etc. got left behind unceremoniously. |

Sign veteran FA O-linemen with a long injury history - check.
Those players being injured for the vast majority of the season - check.
Excellent American kicker on the second year of his Rookie contract and a baby due during TC and for whatever reason gives the finger to the team after one game - check.
Very good Australian punter on a Rookie Global contract who's partner delivers a baby on the other side of the world and then, for whatever reason, he leaves the team to go home and post punting videos on YouTube - check.
Re-sign a DT recovering from a devastating knee injury and won't be ready to play until Game 9 - and subsequently gets injured again - check.
Trade for an injury-prone QB who outright LOST his starting job and hasn't been elite since 2018 - check.
Start two raw American Rookies at CB after allowing the majority of the Secondary to walk in FA (not that they were much better, but experience counts for something) - check.
Having to start your All Star Safety at DHB due to both ratio and performance issues - check.
Now - those decisions weren't made by one person - but ONE person is completely responsible for those decisions. For some of them, it reeks of Ed Hervey's history of treating players like sh!t, while for others it's a failure on the scouting department - or recruiting - to find capable replacements through FA, the Draft, etc.
