Welcome back Dane.
I'd expect Bo to play more, maybe even the entire game with a sprinkle of Shiltz to mix it up.
BC has playmakers on offense and our improved defense will have its hands full. BC has traditionally struggled in Ham. I'd expect BC to be a 3 point or less favourite in what should be a cool fall night.
Looking forward to this one. Cautiously optimistic this team is peaking at the right time.

Lions are a lot of smoke and mirrors imo. Defense is soft. But, obviously, they can still hurt you.
Crash is right. Cats haven't proven a thing beyond they can beat trainwrecks reliably ( a month or so ago beating anyone at all was an open question). This game will be quite the barometer.
Never thought VAjr was a starter. Proven me wrong all year. MOP award might be icing on that cake. But that doesnt mean he isn't more than capable of stinking it up.
Cats win a mildly convincing one here. Adams picks, Lion turnovers prove big. 20 something-17.

BC defence reminds me a little of the Dolphins defences with Jason Taylor back in the 90s - early aughts. Built more on speed but a little undersized on the line and linebacker and get worn down by more physical teams at season’s end.
Still lots of talent on both sides of the ball but might be emotionally drained after dropping a winnable game that likely keeps them In second place. VA and the receiving corps still puts up the yards but I’m sensing Hamilton wins a close one along the lines of 27-24.
Having said that, this will seem like a strange statement coming from a Hamilton fan but maybe the best thing for us is Montreal taking care of business next week and making the final week meaningless in the standings. Honestly think it’s going to be more important for some starters to get rest and have a little mental break from the must win mentality that’s going to crank up the following week. We’ve been a better road team for the most part this year so I’m not sure the home field will be a huge advantage for us. I realize the Als will be able to rest some guys, just a hunch it works out better for us with having to play catch up since Labour Day.
Edit: just remembered both teams on a bye week before the final regular season game. Interested to see how it will play out.

Be nice if he gets to get in - VAs been lights out all year - Starting the season, I would’ve guessed he’d been the guy by now - Good for VA and BC

Before the season started, I would have said (and did say) there's no way VAJ would be the starter for the whole year. Well, he's proven me wrong, he's clearly spent a lot of time learning to read defences in the off season, because that sure as hell wasn't his strong suit in Mtl. I don't care to venture a prediction on this game, I have no idea what's going to happen anymore, lol.

Is it too late to put together an even average defense ?

Is it too late to put together an even average defense ? Not too late, but is it beyond Washington's ability? All the evidence points to yes. And since the only other option is Reinebold to coach the defence....well, there you have it.

Lost a starting DB. Then his backup suffers a bad-looking knee injury. Kats had to move to CB, Edwards to DHB.
What does CF-L have to do to get in on the Defence, or did I miss him on the field?

Surprised they haven’t put Flowers-Lloyd in the secondary occasionally. Personally believe he may be starting at SAM linebacker next year. Guess they feel he’s more valuable in coverage teams at this point. Secondary exposed last night especially after the injuries but that dline didn’t get much pressure at all on Adams and I didn’t see a lot of blitzing dialed up either. Sit at least one dlineman and carry an extra db on the game roster so we don’t get caught again like that in a playoff game.

If Washington is going to insist on using his prevent defence instead of blitzing more consistently and pressuring the quarterback (which has proven to be more successful) then we will be doomed in the playoffs.
