Argos improved the deep ball coverage in the second quarter. I’m sure they’ll be ready for it but I still think their backs are susceptible to our speed. They’ll probably keep the safety deep to help on the long throws.
Trouble with going to short passes is Oakman is so huge it’s difficult to throw over or around him. One nice thing is they will have to respect the run game a bit more than last game with Jackson playing and that could slow down the pass rush.

If we just had connected on those deep routes we woulda/coulda won was a popular notion but I didnt buy it. Cats got schooled from start to finish and I dont know whats changed exactly (placekicking perhaps). But TOR is getting eric Rogers and McCoil back and we are still playing the where's Addison game.

Bringing back the West & East two game total point series would increase revenues , then a two week break leading up to the Grey Cup Game ..... I miss the good ol 2 game total points finals....off topic....? THIS thought is never off topic.😊 |

But TOR is getting eric Rogers and McCoil back and we are still playing the where's Addison game. if they had have completed one or two of those throws, we would have been in a situation where we would have had to fight off their comeback the whole second half. 50/50 whether it would have happened or not. We haven't had an answer for their short, quick passing game from LD onward & it shows. I agree that the DBs should play their receivers tighter to the LOS. Make MBT hold onto the ball a second or two longer until the D line can get there. Mix in delayed blitzes from the LBs to further confuse him. Our DBs can cover any group man to man. With the injuries the Argos have had on the O line, we should be getting to MBT faster. The best way to win this game is to keep the Argos O off the field. That means long, time-consuming drives from our O. I'm not sure that they have it in them, or that the staff is capable of making the necessary adjustments to win. If we can jump on them out of the gate, I think that gives us our best chance to win, even though it means watching more of that gawdawful prevent D. |

Just saw a tweet from Naylor that MBT went to a Raptors game, which is a violation of covid protocol. Was sent home from practice. He's supposed to quarantine for 4 days. Technically I know we catch a break here due to the short travel, but I don’t really blame western fans for being pissed. If Riders have any big name guys unvaccinated, then they would pretty much have to book a bus for the entire team to Winnipeg. And either them or Bombers have a cross country bus trip for the Cup under similar circumstances. Then again, careful what you wish for - would you rather face Dane Evans if they declared Masoli ineligible? |

The hell with him. If the Ticats lose on Sunday or make it to the Cup, that should be his last appearance in this uniform.
