If the clock's not ticking on Orlondo's continued employment then there is no hope for this team. I said it all on The Prowl. I'm too mentally dead right now.

When the biggest of cheerleader says it's time for a change, gotta at least look at it I guess.

Things will never change until they remove Stein as head coach, Washington as defensive co-ordinator and Condell as offensive co-ordinator. It may not come until about the half-way point of the season but Scott Mitchell will eventually have to force Stein to announce he is stepping down as head coach (whether he gets another position is a moot point) the same way he forced Austin to step aside. The new regime might not be great but we can't continue to go like this.

I really do not expect the team to change any coaches this season unless the team reaches a point where they are eliminated from the playoffs. This just really is a bad football team and I do question if this season is salvageable even though only three games have been played.
I think on this board that we can all agree that coaching is a problem...hc, oc, and dc. The only coach I think is doing fine is Reinbold and he is the one that I would give a pass to but the rest are done with me.
No matter the sport coaches have a shelf life and I think both coordinators are well past their due date.

We're facing a similar situation as when Austin was turfed. NB: I am NOT saying they should bring in June Jones, but this team has not shown up looking prepared once this season so far. Steinauer has to go, but I doubt that'll happen, because both OC & DC need to go as well & that's too much change to make mid-season.
I'm thankful that I have all the bullshit of my move to distract me this summer, because giving this team any attention (let alone money) is not going to be anywhere near the top of my list of priorities.
Reading coach E's posts about how they handled game planning & playcalling is the icing on the cake. It's like having the Marx Brothers run your team. Sorry, showing my age, lol.

Coffee thoughts....
This team stinks. And I'm frustrated.
That's all I got.

Thoughts
Week 1 - it’s the Bombers on the road. Bo needs to be better but he’ll figure it out. Defence re-focussed in second half and might settle down. Team at least shows some fight. Cut down on the stupid penalties and r should be a lot better.
Week 2 - patterns emerging, shades of 2021-22 with oline problems. Where’s the younger aggressive secondary we should be seeing? Need to temper expectations though, at best we’re a middle of the pack team who should be better in the second half of the season. Barring disaster Stein isn’t going anywhere. Next week I think we squeak out a win against Montreal, rely heavy on Butler and Shiltz running, defence and special teams need to make some plays.
Week 3 - I think we’re f*#%’ed. Team looks like they’ve mailed it in. We don’t look like we can beat Ott or Edm. If we go 0-5 can we afford not to fire everyone? Maybe we should just do it now during the bye week and get it over with.

I heard Stein on the post-game interview on the Ticat Audio Network and he sounded totally overwhelmed and deflated. He said he believes he has the right people in-house to turn this mess around (what else would he say). I don't know if he means coaches or both coaches and players. I'm sure he sees the writing on the wall and I'm sure Mitchell has told him the same thing after the team went wild in free agency to bring in new and better players.

I think he's connected to Mitchell and going nowhere. But I could be wrong

I don't mean gone for good. I mean gone as head coach. The organization loves him too much and will find a place for him unless he chooses to go elsewhere.

I wasn't worried about this team nearly so much until thursday...(which isn't good because we played Sunday and Friday)
Week 1: Dline looks like poo, but its a new mix and its against *the* winnipeg bluebombers vaunted and magical Oline. Plus, hey, we were only a little bit of BLM rust away from being RIGHT in that game with 3-7 missed throws on deep balls, and some dumb dumb throw INTs, and some rookie mistakes in the backfield.... happens... a little too often to us, but it happens nonetheless...
Week 2: Expensive Dline still looks like poo (no sacks, no knock downs, few hurries), but TO's Oline is usually sneaky good. Oline is already kind of banged up, so kind of to be expected, but still kind of a let down game, but hey, they're wearing black on the road, thats fun!
Week 3: (well... day before week three) *THE* Winnipeg BlueBombers, vaunted and godlike Oline... Certified ManMountain pair of Stanley Bryant, Jermarcus Hardick.... bleeds a little... gives up 4 sacks (3 to BCs mostly okay dline) and a whole bunch of hurries... oh we're screwed the rest of the way aren't we.... faaaaaaaaaaaaaq....
Wynn needs to come back, at 100%, and Davis needs to put down the damn fork...
I wonder what Shawn Lemon and Derrick Dennis are doing right now...

Dennis has taken a job with some pro sports (not football) team, can't remember the details. Haven't heard anything about Lemon.
