“- The turnovers in the red zone are the exact reason we brought him in. We felt that the last 2 guys didnt protect the ball and make good decisions. It's 10x more frustrating coming from Bo. “
You could see the whole team sag right after the second pick. Not that they were great beforehand but did show some life and were still in the game and driving for a score. That’s a throw he can’t make.
TSN mentioned something to the effect of Bo saying he wouldn’t feel comfortable with Condell’s playbook until a week and a half into the season. Seems like an odd thing to admit to for a guy known as a “gunslinger” but maybe he’s just been in Dickenson and Hufnagel’s offences too long to be able to adapt any quicker. Who knows, maybe the time off helps him process this stuff.
As for defence, we figured the secondary was a reconstruction job esp with Woods now down. But linebackers seem to be out of position an awful lot on running plays and they aren’t doing themselves any favours taking big penalties early in the game.
Didn’t have much of a feeling against TO but still expecting them to squeak out a close one against Mtl at home. Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to relying on Liegghio. Team is essentially where they were last year at this point, maybe worse.

Tough for any QB to flourish in a system that clearly does not play to the strength of its players, but rather says "here's the play call, execute it. Period." I'm not excusing Bo, because all of his INTs were boneheaded throws for a 10 yr QB & he should know better, but does anyone really think that all 3 of Masoli, Dane & BLM are such bad QBs that they can't execute this system? Again, when multiple players don't succeed, it comes down to coaching. Steinauer & co. are no different now than Austin was at the end: flatly refusing to consider that their way of doing things isn't producing results, blaming it on lack of player execution. It's likely the same issue on defence too.

Influx of new players hasn’t invigorated the team at all to this point. Still expecting things to come together, but right now I seem them struggling against even Ott and Edm. I think Steinauer lasts the year barring a total disaster (0-6?) but next year it looks like housecleaning time.

Shiltz starting vs MTL. Apparently BLM is dressing, but not playing. Why waste a roster position on a player not healthy enough to play?

The team has 3 GMs who -should- be able to find an unemployed QB somewhere (anywhere)...
