I live in Ottawa, and the air smells like a bonfire. You cannot see the sky. Heck - you're lucky if you can see the length of two blocks clearly. I let my dog out this morning, and my eyes felt gritty from the ash. I wouldn't want to play football - or ANY outdoor sport/activity - today...

We’re seeing it here, can’t imagine how bad it is for you there. I was told in Calgary it got so bad you could barely see across the street.

It's like fog that smells like a wood-burning fireplace.
You can look directly at the sun.
I have been using eye drops all day.
Schools cancelled outdoor activities.
There is an uncontrolled wildfire 15km WSW of Ottawa, and lots of them in Northern Quebec/Ontario that are getting blown here.
It's probably worse in Montreal, which makes me wonder if the Big Owe might be needed this weekend.

I am in Russell which is Southeast of Ottawa (for those that are not in the area) and you can smell it in the air out here too. This morning it was very noticable when you looked or went outside.
Hopefully they get things under control soon.

No but they are being cautious about bringing him back from his major injury. The Redblacks have a bi week in week three so Masoli will start technically in week 4. |
