Salaries private is absurd.
Look no further than the XFL showing the review booth to know that information and transparency is what fans want.

Just my opinion though.
A 3DN article overblown?? Say it aint' so!!  I agree with you. People speculate about how any team is fitting salary under the cap all the time. There's gonna be plenty of speculation about the Cats after all the FA signings. I really doubt there would be more if people had exact numbers to play with. The main difference between CFL & NFL over the past 30 years, apart from the $, has been the hype which, let's face it, is directly tied to the $. It's one of the things I can't stand the most about the NFL. I watched some of the Super Bowl this year & the commercials were f*cking ridiculous. Oh, not the content, although people going nuts for commercials is stupid af imo. It was the number of commercials. Couldn't help but compare it to the 1 or 2 quick spots we usually get before getting back to the game. Our league has always done best when we embrace our quirkiness, ie Our Balls are Bigger, etc. That's the kind of marketing we need. Now, I didn't watch any of the XFL, but showing the replay booth is an idea I'm in favour of for our league. |

The NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB all have published salary details for players.
Oddly enough, aside from the NHL, they all publish detailed injury reports.

We have all been long accustomed to legacy media ignoring or scarcely acknowledging the existence of the CFL,..
But there remains a strange, alternative, parallel universe at TSN, the CFLs sole official broadcast partner ..where they do it too..
TSN employee Brian Hayes( with strategically placed Packer helmet in background) : "..so it's another disappointing end to the season for Jays and TOR sports fans".
TSN employee Jay Onrait: (sympathetic chuckle) "Well I guess TOR will just have to wait for the Leafs.."
Hayes: "Yes we still have the Leafs to look forward to (snicker)
I mean, FFS.

Suits and Rider bias. Sometimes it's real, by varrying degrees, sometimes it's imagined. But tonight was ridiculous. Then add jackass Neilson to the mix. Broadcast was awful. Really awful.
