That's two GM positions open now, by my count. McMannus and one of our co-GMs might want to see what colour the grass is on the other side of the fence.

Drove a proud franchise into the ground. Elizondo seemed completely out of his depth. Management siding with Elizondo over Harris looks like pure folly now. Sig is right thats quite an interesting shopping list to fill.

You'd have to think one of Burke/Allemang/McManus would have to have the inside track. Sunderland's future was decided when he made the "not a cultural fit" comment earlier this year, and I was shocked when they chose Elizondo as HC.
I'd like to know exactly what the story was with the Elks this year. That team had so much talent on paper, but it rarely translated to wins.

So drastic a move shows the depth of anger there is out thee up to and including the name-change. CHED, the official radio voice for eons, had a call in show and asked why fans were angry and staying awway. Name change complaints (supposedly every other call) and how it wiped out a legacy were cut off.

Name change complaints (supposedly every other call) and how it wiped out a legacy were cut off. Attendance was ok to start the year. That embarrassment of a game they had against Ott was a kick in the gut for many fans. I was at the game, many were angry with the way they played as much as the fact that they lost. You have to put at least an entertaining product on the field to get butts in seats. Zero home game wins will hurt attendance in any town. The name change is a lesser irritant, many of the fans are going with it. The pre game tailgate crowd now calls themselves the Elkoholics.

Priders getting a kick out of EDM woes but arent they one loss away from a blowup of their own ? One of their DBs left the team because of low playing time, and their 4th-string QB went home because he's unvaccinated (the ONLY player on the team that wasn't).

Disagreeing with Lynch's views is one thing expressing glee and satisfaction that hes gone is quite another. Priders can be a funny lot sometimes. Really sad if karma came and bit them on the arse. A real shame.

Typically a pro sports regime desperate to fix a trainwreck hires the most accomplished usually high profile name they can get their hands on.
Soooo why did they hire Wally as a consultant again ?
