Schiltz . Yes. But not if it prevents addressing other areas.
Hills, STE, Yes. Earned it
Dunbar. No. Do you invest more money in avg recs ?.
Durant. Who ?
Ungerer. NAT status is nice but when do you play him ?
White. Good enough to keep but let's not go nuts here. He's not elite.
Kelly. Replaceable.
Carney. Ten a penny.
Howsare. I guess. Thought he had another gear. Appears he doesn't.
Johnson. Nope. One good play every third game ain't doin it
Laurent. Just end it already. Hasn't been an impact player in years but everybody pretends he still is.
K.Kelly. Yes. Impact
Lawrence. See Laurent
JS-N. Yes. Impact.
Leonard. Not good enough.
Evans, Rolle. Entire secondary was disappointing but you can't have all rookies back there either.

Now I agree that Simoni is past his best-before date, so let's trade him before free agency so we get something for him. And, my suggestion is that we trade him to Saskatchewan. . . the reaction of greenandwhite on that other board would be priceless.  |

First 6 games of the season can probably be written off with some sort of Gypsy Curse last half of the season he showed a lot. other White: see Durant Kelly. maybe? do we need two americans on the line? I like that he's a vet, but Saxelid should be able to take over here. Carney. Keep, don't break the bank Howsare. Turned it on late, didn't seem to play well next to Wynn though which is troubling to say the least.... but again, that was all in the first half of the season, see potential gypsy curse Laurent. Deserves to stay around, but needs to be better and likely cheaper (also....good lord do i not want to see him in Double Blue next year either) JS-N. Hard yes. Leonard. Looked surprisingly great all year just not against Geno Lewis Evans. IMO Best DB we had until he got hurt Rolle. Feel like I needed more from him, don't know if it was scheme or execution.... (couldn't help myself) This was supposed to be an ELITE defensive secondary and way too often (last year too) it got torched. But i'm still not the x's and o's guy, so i couldn't say one way or the other. |

It's just the "eye test", but far too many times our DBs were out-muscled, out-jumped, and out-positioned by bigger/taller/stronger receivers.
I don't know if it's due to the personnel, but I am also kind of sick of Mark Washington's defence where he essentially gives up a 7-12-yard cushion in the middle of the field that all other teams pick apart.

I don't know if it's due to the personnel, but I am also kind of sick of Mark Washington's defence where he essentially gives up a 7-12-yard cushion in the middle of the field that all other teams pick apart. that wouldn't be so bad if we weren't also continuously being burned for large chunks as well. I get the "well we'll give them 7-10 yards but NOTHING else because eventually they'll screw up twice and we'll get the ball back." but if you're giving up 20-40 yard chunks as well, whats the point, we're spending all this cap space on DBs, shouldn't at least a couple of them be shutdown guys? |

I think it's obvious that Washington has no idea what the hell he's doing. I'm not sure I'd keep any of the coaches, but then I'm also advocating for Steinauer to be gone, so I think that the new HC should be able to choose his own coaching staff. As for FAs, I pretty much agree with your initial assessment, although I think Simoni gets another year. He may have to accept a smaller role though. |

Harris- 362 yds passing yesterday. Philpot and Lewis the main targets. Weinke accounted for just over 40yds. His totals way down from last seasons personal best.
Still convinced he has a bigger upside and could be elite.
Cats should make a change of scenery sales pitch.
It's not like HAM has a surplus of untouchable import recs.
