No big deal anymore. This season is a lost cause anyway. Still can't believe how far this team has fallen since the heyday of 2019.

Wow, just wow. Nothing can go right for the Cats this season. The next game will be absolutely scary if Dane is still injured and not playing well.

If a Matthew Shiltz injury means the season is over... It probably wasn't much of a season to begin with. But what do I know, I'm just an idiot.

The Cats season was over with last games lack lustre loss. While there is a chance they can catch second place still realistically they have played like shit all season. I think the odds are very low that they will qualify for the post season this year.

Not sure that this is the "best" scenario. At this point, I'm wondering what it will take for Steinauer to realize that changes have to be made. Been saving the "doing the same thing over & expecting different results is the definition of insanity" post for a rainy day.

Apparently BC is now on the verge of acquiring Vernon Adams Jr for a first rounder now that Stern has stepped away from the franchise. Apparently he was blocking a trade from happening.
This is a player that the Cats should acquire as an Evans and Adams QB combo would do well for them.

For me the best case scenario is that the team misses the post season as I believe that and only that will get through Orlondo's thick skull that his status quo does not work.

So, I've heard that Adams would have loved to have come to Hamilton, because Khari is here. Obviously, the Als aren't gonna do any favours for a division rival, so he's off to BC.
Disclaimer: I didn't think he was our answer anyway, Dane is a better QB under normal circumstances.

It'd make sense to try to bring him in, especially with Khari here. don't see how that happens until next year

I'm sick and tired of taking other teams' QB castoffs. Yes, we caught lightning in a bottle with Zach (for a year), but that didn't turn out happily.
Dane is a guy that the Ticats scouted and signed. Hamilton hasn't had a good track record of that (Eakin, Porter, Chang) and to give up on him this early would be a disservice. The team, after all, gave Masoli EIGHT years.
The crap Orlondo pulled last season, I believe, really screwed with Dane's mind. After playing spectacularly in 2019, it must have felt like a good swift kick to the nards to be relegated to backup (and getting ZERO first-team reps) in 2021 to a guy who has had ONE good year under Centre and has categorically FAILED in Every. Other. Season.
People can't seem to understand that there are two position groups on Offence that were woefully underdeveloped over the past three seasons - O-line and Receivers.
