Offense can't convert 2 and longs because it's too easy to defend. So easy the polite Forde is forced to point it out. Defense and secondary that can't shut a door when you need it. Gormless looking coach routinely outcoached and schemed. Other than that we're fine.

Let's go back to March...
We said they didn't do anything in free agency... Got called names, toxic.
We said they didn't put anything in front of a franchise QB with regards to the OLine... Got called names, toxic
We said they were trying to recreate the Winnipeg D but dont have the line to do it. Got called names, toxic.
We weren't convinced Tim White, Papi White, Jake Burt, Ungerer, Ternowski, Durant, Takai, Saxelid were enough to compete with the top teams in the league... Got called names, toxic.
We said Evans would be running for his life... Got called names, toxic.
We said we'd regret losing Acklin...
We asked why we let Mauldin go if we were also letting Davis go...
Got told to trust the professionals.
I have news for everyone. At 2-6....professional is debatable.

Scrutiny the team needs: Franchise is regressing fast. Who made the decisions. Why does team have 3 GMs. Why were decisions made. Have owners intervened ? Where,, when ? HC is supposed to be high calibre. Either he is or he isn't. If he is what's stopping him. If he isn't why is he still here?
Scrutiny it gets: "Gee whiz they blow another lead. Condell needs to run ball more.Team needs to cut down on mistakes. Masoli something something."

Condell is now firmly in scapegoat, sacraficial lamb territory. Let's see if Stein takes (any) responsibility. Which his two job titles demand.

For those scoring at home.. the same people who wanted accountability from Austin defend Stein and want Condell gone but condemned Austin for forcing Condell out but don't criticize Stein for keeping Condell. Got it ?

Got it ? Not fair. I wanted accountability from Austin, and I'm not defending Steinauer. This debacle falls squarely in his lap. This coaching staff doesn't believe in 2nd half adjustments, & that's why we've let 4 games this year slip away.

Imagine defending this organization so hard the entire offseason and then being forced to scurry to alternate takes that don't make you look like a total idiot.
I'd think it would be very difficult at this point.

I think his point is when Austin was the scapegoat people pkinted to him forcing Condell out as some unforgivable act. It was literally one of the reasons they wanted Austin gone. Now Condell is the scapegoat and his boss gets a pass in the majority of fan circles. What makes it fair is check out twitter, Facebook, the Prowls official site or AM radio and there's little to no blame being placed at the place it should be at first. Stein. You wouldn't fall into that camp as yes, you've demanded accountability from both.

No matter how anyone slices it, Steinauer is responsible. But the stupid hierarchical structure of this org is going to prevent him having to take accountability for it.

I'd think it would be very difficult at this point. No need to imagine, just head over to the team forum, lol. The worse part is the people who still try to defend it after each loss when the team shows that it continues to fail to correct its shortcomings.

Just some thoughts on the game itself last night..
Special Teams Has not had a worse game this year - by far. Little to no return game, kickoff returns crumbling at the 25 yard line (They moved kickoffs back this year by the way, so the old 35 is now 40). We're 15 yards behind that. Domagala's punt before the half into the endzone cost us 3 points. Woods absolutely mind boggling punt return, cost us 2 points and whatever they did on the drive post the safety (can't remember). Blocked punt was missed assignment - was someone that was injured supposed to be in? No idea. Looks like Seth Small is a keeper - though wasn't tested. I'm sure they'll cut him for a Canadian soon. You could make the argument Special Teams cost us 10-16 points.
Defence Continues to fold when it counts - with the game on the line after taking the FG with 6 minutes left the team lets Tor walk down the field and kick a FG (Would have been a TD if Rogers can catch). Once again teams make adjustments on us at the half and all of the sudden there's zero pressure on the QB, it was obvious was bringing in receivers to help block.. and we still blitz, we still dont get home, and our Golden secondary gets beat. Not sure we we didn't drop 8 or 9 into coverage if they're going to bring receivers in to block.
All things considered - the Ticats WON the Time of Possession 34/26 - and im still reading about the D being tired.
Offence What is there to say? Look across the league at BC's receivers, Kenny Lawler, Gero Lewis, etc. We have Dunbar and only Dunbar. He's a solid receiver. I'm not convinced he can take over a game the way Geno Lewis does, but he's solid. After that I don't know who is a professional receiver. Mike Jones showed me more last night than any other Canadian we've trotted out there since 2019. How long does it take Lemar Durant to get "acclimated" he's absolutely invisible, and a waste of a roster spot.
Tim White has regressed from a capable receiver to also invisible.
Burt was supposed to be a receiver - TE. He lines up (Stationary) 3 yards offside. This is the 1st overall draft pick? With Addison gone for the year this team is in big trouble on offence. Don Jackson again proves he's a star running back - problem is when everyone knows we are running (2nd and 2/3 - we fold). OLine has somewhat improved, but not good enough for this group of receivers to get open. Result is Dane having to get rid of it, throwing into coverage, or throwing it into the turf. Dane however did miss a couple deep balls i'm sure he would want back - Tim White was wide open for a TD, Mike Jones on the first play are throws he has to make. He also put a couple nice balls on the money that were dropped. (Think Dunbar in the endzone). No need to bring in Shiltz when they did - killed a perfectly good drive in plus territory and Dane was playing really well. The O never got it back after that. I'll say it again for those in the back - the Ticats WON the Time of Possession 34/26 - and im still reading about the D being tired.
Final Thoughts I do think at some point Condell will take the fall for this - and I don't think he comes without criticism. But nothing is going to change if someone else calls the plays. This team lacks talent on Offense, as mentioned just look across the league for comparison.
It does seem odd that across social media Stein seems to get a pass - which is odd considering Condell being here (and promoted) was his decision. Also the decision to fire him would also fall on Stein.
Throwing 100% blame at one coach (Condell) is childish, it's clear this team has mega problems top to bottom. As highlighted above all 3 units contributed to the loss. Special teams being the worst, the O didnt help in the 2nd half and the D didnt establish itself.
Get ready for more games like this, I don't see it changing. This is a 6 win team.
