If the Cats keep losing I could see someone like Khari brought in as a qb coach/ consultant. Don’t think he would be a step up from Condell as a co- ordinator though.
The only way I could see the writing on the wall for Steinauer is if they brought in someone like Trestman mid- season. Not sure who else is out there that they could parachute in.
Then again I did hear Kent is marrying a local girl. 😯 Maybe you’re not too far off there, Omd.

Whats the attraction with Khari ? Not getting it. He can not do worse then what has gone on with the Offense in Hamilton so far this season.

I know its Hamilton but shouldn't we be aiming higher than just recycling another coach with a history of mixed results ? Even if HSG can crowbar it's wallet open and bring him in for help it undermines Condells authority unintentional or not. I doubt Jones would take a job without genuine power anyway..

I would think part of Jones buyout is that he can't work this season.

We should, but there are few candidates out there who would provide immediate help.

I dunno dude, last three times we tried to go outside the box we ended up with Kollege Koach Marshall, Stef "meh, it worked at mac, it'll work here" Ptaszek, and 38 minutes of Art Briles...

If USFL folds it might free up some talent. Heard good things about this Jones guy. Laid back leadership style, Hawaiian fetish, word is he's a QB whisperer

There are more than 5 things wrong with this team, and Josh ignores the biggest one - the O-line: 3downnation.com/2022/07/10/five-biggest-problems-currently-plaguing-the-hamilton-tiger-cats/I contend that if the O-line were merely average, then the majority of the turnovers don't happen. Yes, Dane had tried to force passes, but what QB doesn't do that? ST-E clanking two INTs off both his hands should be reason enough for a demotion to the PR. I argue that two of the fumbles are a direct result of O=line failure, and the short-yardage play should have been blown dead. That's 5 turnovers (out of 12, but some of those were on downs) that simply should not have existed if there were anything CLOSE to competent players on the O-line. With Dane having little time in the pocket, and the lack of a running game (not that the O-line can open any running lanes in the first place), and the seemingly inability of our receivers to find an open area of the field, are the major factors on the Offensive side of things. I can't argue with the Defensive comments, except that it seems as if our DBs get out-fought, out-muscled, and out-sized on the deliberately underthrown or "50/50" passes. These are ones that Breaux would win, but... And he also ignores the ST play - especially the horrid place-kicking (and early-season punting).

While the Oline has been the main issue this year (both lines actually, but that's another matter) It's clearly to blame for most of the losses this season so far.
It's also probably due a grade of DNP rather than F. There's been too many injuries and substitution and general havoc to judge the Oline honestly yet.
The guys we have, when healthy (i'm not including the long term guys like Saxelid and Fontana since they're probably not back this season) *should* be pretty okay. Kelly, Rev, Gibbon, Woodmansey, Van Zeyl *SHOULD* be a somewhat effective unit. It's not the bombers line, but that ship sailed in the offseason.
I don't think we're as screwed as I did two games ago, which sounds dumb and i dont understand myself sometimes...
