Ottawa looks like a .500 team to me. Winnipeg was not sharp.
The historical standard for these 2 teams is so opposite that i'm not convinced Ottawa was actually that good.

WPG was missing Jeffcoat, so that might have had something to do with it. A couple of their newish DBs got burned, but that's to be expected with a raw rookie in the CFL. OTT clock management was EXACTLY what we have seen here for 8 frickin' years with Masoli. Acklin screwed up by the numbers on that sure-TD and the last play of the half. You're right Crash, that combo cost Ottawa 10 points in the first half; especially since WPG won by 2-points. I love it. The usual suspects are praising Masoli for the 300+ yards passing. Still can't win though. Shades of 2018 all over again. Can I take a moment to actually praise the off-field officials for once? They upheld a bang-bang DPI Challenge, and removed Zack after he took too long to get to his feet after a head-shot. Face it - both games this week were on the "sloppy" side. Something, something, more missed time during training camp, something... ...Although the extra practice days didn't seem to help Calgary very much... lol |

I didn't think Acklyn had it in him to be a top receiver but he really looked good yesterday. I didnt care too much for him while he was here and I think we were right to let him go but now im starting to second guess that.
Also what was with all of the deep shots by Masoli. Was our scheme that much different because he never threw that deep with us

I didn't think Acklyn had it in him to be a top receiver but he really looked good yesterday. I didnt care too much for him while he was here and I think we were right to let him go but now im starting to second guess that. Also what was with all of the deep shots by Masoli. Was our scheme that much different because he never threw that deep with us Did you already forget the EDSF where he overthrew two receivers for sure TDS? |
