HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have acquired OL Kyle Saxelid, LB Grant McDonald and the second overall selection in the 2022 Canadian Football League Global Draft in exchange for the eighth and 28th overall selections in the 2022 CFL Draft, along with the ninth overall selection in the 2022 CFL Global Draft.
Totally.... definitely clear... as mud. Very much had to read it five times.
Second question (after.... what?):
Is Saxelid any good? I didn't waste much time watching Elks games last year, I've got nothing. (also the names Grant and M(a)cDonald are kinda triggering for us ticat fans, how dare you Steinauer!?!?!??!?!) lol
Happy Draft day y'all

Apparently Saxelid can at least play RT, and -might- be a candidate for LT. McDonald may slot in at LB if needed, but is apparently a pretty good ST guy.

Interesting that Naylor/Lalji say McDonald is the centerpiece of this trade when you would think the Olineman would be the one they want to make sure they are the most happy with. Lots of options at Oline but it certainly seems like "time to gel" and "get acquainted as a unit" will be the early theme.

A new Centre and a new LT, just like last year.
