Anyone else think we're going to have trouble scoring?
We aren't terribly deep at receiver at all, OLine still has loads of question marks and we don't even know if the ratio will allow Don Jackson to play every game (and it won't matter if the OLine is sub standard).
Seems this teams identity will be defence, but I hope we aren't hanging our new franchise QB out to dry with this group.

Good thing you didn't ask this on the other site.
We have two "starting" WRs with more than a single year service. I don't count Ungerer as a starter. It is pretty dire.

Either they unearth a gem at some point or Dunbar has to emerge as an above average receiver. Im not convinced he will be but happy to be proven wrong.

Your thoughts on this echo mine, I am not overly happy with how the off season has worked out so far.

I'm assuming they're placing a lot of faith in Addison coming back and being the threat he was in 2019 and for the five to ten snaps he played in 2021. and if thats the case...? maybe they're not too far off. The secondary, as dangerous as it was, clearly needed help, and they attacked that lack of depth HARD. awesome, but, I'm still not loving the fact we let Acklin get poached with no real replacement plan. Would have really been something to give Dane a new big boy weapon to play with. On that note, wouldn't mind seeing Ricky Collins Jr in Black and Gold tbh... |

Towards the end of 2018 the rec corps got hit hard by injuries, losing Banks being huge. By the East Final Addison was pretty much the main weapon with a meh supporting cast and it wasnt nearly enough.

There HAS to be a reason he hasn't been signed anywhere yet. Is he/his agent asking for too high a contract? Does he only want to play for certain teams and they aren't interested? Does he have an "undisclosed" injury of which all GMs are aware, but not the fans? Is he a locker room cancer (suggested on the main site, but no evidence)? All evidence points to a second-tier WR who -might- break into the top-tier in the right system. In his favour, he has a lot of CFL experience, and that counts for a LOT in this League. So, if tasked with returning a kickoff, and the team is down by two points, he WON'T take a knee in the end zone.

Does he only want to play for certain teams and they aren't interested? Does he have an "undisclosed" injury of which all GMs are aware, but not the fans? Is he a locker room cancer (suggested on the main site, but no evidence)? All evidence points to a second-tier WR who -might- break into the top-tier in the right system. Gotta be, right? always found him to be in dangerous areas against us, seems like a good 2nd down guy as well (which.... with Aklin jumping ship, we kinda need a new threat there...) don't understand whats going on. unless you're on to something with the "only wants to play with certain teams" i can't see the cats not taking a shot here |
