Some big names off the board this week.
Some brand names still unsigned.
MTL deathly quiet.
I'd be all over Weinke like stink on a monkey.

Weinke or Burnham or Duke? Select One (1) Weinke. Star in waiting. Elite even with spotty QBing.. He still has untapped potential imo.

Pinball says Argos won't be players in FA market.

Now that Reilly has retired, my money is on Masoli landing in BC to back up O'Rourke in case he falters.

With EDM anointing Nathan Rourke as their starting QB (as if they would honestly be stupid enough to actually DO that) that probably leaves OTT, EDM, and BC looking for a good, experienced QB. I honestly can't see EDM rolling the dice on a second-year Canadian QB.
The big question is, who's out there that is both "good" and a CFL veteran except Masoli? Honest question, because I can't actually THINK of any.

Lions getting ambitious. Not satisfied with status quo. Interesting take on how to run a franchise.

Coming this close to a championship one would assume the impetus for ownership, both from within and from fans, to build on that and to complete the task. Instead in these parts just being competitive in a weak division seems to be the goal. We're supposed to be encouraged by the signings of supporting-cast level players like Dunbar and Durant ?

Some of 3rdDownNation's Top FA QB assessment ...is...jaw dropping... Too many "pros" and not enough "cons" (other than those who have conned teams into signing them) in that article. Really, there are only two "good" FA QBs in Masoli and Harris. All others are career backups at best. Speaking of career backups, Tee Martin was interviewed for the OC job for the Bills. Could be a form of the "gotta interview a minority first, even though you will never offer him the position" farce that's going to be making it's way through the courts VERY soon...
