How does a talent level of a team get worse? Seems like a occams razor type question. So its football ops, right ? The rot goes a lot higher than just the football ops department...

Great start on ST and by Bo/Tim. Was that you on the 5th Quarter railing against Scott Mitchell???

Was going to make a lengthy post, but what's the point? Many of us here can see what's wrong, but it never seems to get fixed. I can take losing if there's progress or effort seen, but I'm coming up on 50 years of supporting this team & I've seen them win it twice.
Apathy is a scary thing.
About all I'll say is that Bo has upped his level of play generally this year & he deserves better than this.

Never bailed on a team this soon. I hold out the possibility of overreacting but it looks like, with few exceptions, such a wasteland of talent and decision making.

Saw someone on FB today post "look on the brightside, if you'd told me at the start of the season that after 4 games we'd be tied with WPG in the standings I'd take it"
We've gone full circle from "at least we have a team" to "at least we're not 0-x" to "at least we were supposed to be bad"

Coaching decisions had a big impact on the game. 1st and 20, run play for a 3-yd loss, screen pass that goes nowhere, punt from our 20. Happened right in front of me. I wasn't surprised they went for 2 at the end of the game, as that would put us 3-points up. Too bad they didn't execute. Crash said it best - clock management was terrible at the end of the game. The choice to squib-kick was an obvious mistake. The Ottawa fans behind me said "All they need is 20 yards". Lo and behold, Washington's Defence allowed them to get close enough for the FG. The Ottawa shill on 3DN ws lamenting the successful challenges. It seems as if the League is allowing more hand-fighting and "minor" contact on receivers. I'm happy with the over-ruling - especially since the oficial who ruled the incompletion ALSO didn't throw the flag - it was the official 50-yards away. Illegal blocking downfield doesn't matter where the play happened. It's the same thing as "Illegal Contact" on the other side of the field. I recorded the game, but I'm not going to torture myself, so I deleted it.

THIS DROVE ME ABSOLUTELY INSANE The official 2 yards away doesn't think anything of the play, guy on the far side of the field decides something went down.... Like a 3rd base umpire calling balls and strikes.... Never should have *needed* a challenge there. Absolute silly season from the refs there

I refereed high school football for 15 seasons and one thing you never did was throw a flag when another official is clearly in view of the play and did not. It undermines the entire refeering squad.
