Okay, so after that ass-kicking it's come down to this. Hamilton will now be battling Ottawa for third place in the East and both teams will be worried about a Western cross-over. I can't see them winning in Ottawa next Friday because they are THAT BAD (only Edmonton is worse). Best laugh of the night was listening to that idiot Bubba O'Neil on the post-game radio show actually say that our corners "are outstanding".....lol.

My $ says we'll be mathmatically eliminated by mid-September. And rightly so. This crap is why fans in the West demanded the crossover & frankly, Ottawa at least shows some heart.

Why is Orlondo so bad at bringing in Oline talent? Every year since 2019 it has been the same rinse and repeat pattern. He will spend most of the season finding better players then not resign any of the actual good ones that are not china dolls and the team will have a shit oline again for 3/4 of next year as well.
The Oline is proof why he is not qualified to be a Pro GM.
I thought Powell overall played well with the main issue he had was the crappy line in front of him. I think McAllister needs to be a more prominent part of the offense and I think he can be the next speedy b type player the team needs.

My game thoughts have become: "I stayed up for THIS???"

okay.... i haven't watched the broadcast back yet, but....
....am i the only one that's not feeling like the sky is falling after that game?
ya we got our collective as$es kicked, some rookie-(i'm not used to the field being this wide)-throws and some not getting a whole bunch of favours from the receiving corps and it was still an "in doubt" affair up until toronto's final scoring drive...
don't think we're cooked quite yet, if Bo comes back and can't figure out how to operate a redzone offense we're boned, but until then...?
Who knows, maybe i'm just tired of being pissed off all the time?

Personally, I think the sky falling is in the rear view mirror. I don't think it matters what QB is back there, no one can succeed with the systems this team has in place, particularly our protection schemes. Stein & Co have proven that they haven't got the first clue how to manage QBs. I agree that Powell shows some promise, but it's likely that's going to be wasted the way Dane's was.
Problem is, I doubt that wholesale changes will be made mid-season, but I really feel that's what needs to happen. We've got Milanovich on staff, but he appears to want to work remotely. Lapo is available, but I'm lukewarm on him. As for DC, I can't even come up with a name of a prospect that's currently not on staff elsewhere.

Fines, draft picks, whole lotta CFL nothin.. Toronto already broke it and nobody cared. I wrote dunk a about it and he told me the league asked them not to write about stuff like that

You have any confidence Scott Mitchell would find adequate replacements?
What he should do it go out and put someone with actual front experience in charge of everything, Kyle Walters, Huff, someone like that. Back up the Brinks truck and put them in charge of Forge FC the way Toronto moved Murphy.
Hand out money and Presidents titles and watch how fast people are interested.

I was just going to say that when I saw your post. Yes, hire Barker & give him complete control over football ops. No 3 man team b.s. to muddy the waters. Dude has the advantage of already being familiar with the situation he'd be walking into, unlike Walters or Huff, or McManus/whoever. He's the best bet for a quick turnaround of team fortunes.
