I find this amusing. First day of practice this week during Stein's media scrum, Milton asks Stein about the status of OT's Riley and Saxelid who were both injured in the first quarter in Winnipeg. Stein's reply "As far as we know we'll be status quo there and we'll start (Sunday) with the same tackles". Now when I see a player get injured and not return to the game, I usually (but not in all cases) expect them to miss the following game or maybe longer. Checking the injury report I see both Riley and Saxelid haven't practiced all week which means they won't be playing in Toronto. Thanks for the honesty Stein. How some fans lap up this guy's bullshit truly amazes me.

Agreed. It's all so tiresome.

One would think the team with a week 1 bye would be at a disadvantage. Evidence suggests the opposite. But as last week demonstrated once again Week 1 is just another week of training camp. So TOR shouldnt be immune.
So how long does "chemistry", "timing", "growing pains" stop being plausible ? Could be as soon as Sunday night.

Stein will continue to use those excuses until they string a couple of wins together (if they even do that). A win in June counts the same as a win in October. There is no time for excuses. Like Stein says "I want to see improvement everyday" and the jury will be out until we see the so-called "improvement".

Just gives the cheerleaders more excuses if the 'Cats fail to win in Toronto.

I have zero expectations for this team until game 4. At that point I might decide to be upset by the mess.
Tonite we have a reconstituted team in early season and apparent incipient chaos against a team playing its first game of the season. I bet on the blue but I'm not passionate and I don't expect crisp football.

Dunnigan is firmly in the BLM skeptic camp.

Dunnigan is firmly in the BLM skeptic camp. His first pass could have been penalized for Intertional Grounding in the end-zone for a Safety... TO in FG range already

Burning a time out in the 1st Q because you can't get the correct personnel on the field = coaching mistake #1
