I was able to watch parts of the game and did like what I saw out of Gallimore and Powell. Sure it is preseason but I think that they have something there with both of them.
The secondary likely is going to be a work in progress as I was not impressed with them in the second half.

Random observations.. 1Oline looked excellent. 2Powell looked good. Might be something there. 3McGriff looked raw. But should be something there. 4Fleet-Davis looked sort of avg. 5Sindani will be fine. 6STs looked ahead of the curve. 1. mostly 2. looked very good. only criticism is he seemed to lack some zip/accuracy on the ball when he was rolling out (underthrew a couple, and the pick on the goalline) liked that he was trying downfield a lot even with a lot of checkdown options open 3. slightly underwhelming, but who knows 4. i guess? had some decent carries late, but mostly meh 5. he kinda stood out looking great to me, but i'm not exactly a scout either 6. its about farking time |

Powell reminded me of a young Ricky Ray. If he put some muscle on , Russ Jackson.
Gallimore ? Gizmo Williams or Jimmy The Jet Cunningham
McGriff is an SJ Green clone.
Woods III was totally Larry Highbaugh.
Again ,its only game 1 of preseason so Im tapping the breaks here.

Powell reminded me of a young Ricky Ray. If he put some muscle on , Russ Jackson. Gallimore ? Gizmo Williams or Jimmy The Jet Cunningham McGriff is an SJ Green clone. Woods III was totally Larry Highbaugh. Again ,its only game 1 of preseason so Im tapping the breaks here. Tap the brakes? Why? From what I saw we should be the favourite to win the Grey Cup, all individual awards and Stein coach of the year. If they lose a game I'll be shocked. |
