Stein says about Anthony Johnson "He'll be alright, he'll be fine, he just won't play tomorrow". Tuesday morning Johnson finds himself on the 6-game injury list. Par for the course. You can't believe anything he says. In other news, I sold my house in Cambridge today, now need a place back in the Hammer for August 14. I'll rent you my shed for $2500 a month. Let me know. I have a lineup. |

Let me know. I have a lineup. Man, that's a steal!! I've actually been considering some houses close to the stadium. If anyone lives close & can comment on it, feel free. The real estate market in KW Region is absolutely insane. I had 100 showings since the listing went active on Thursday. My understanding is that it's not nearly so crazy in Hamilton. |

Hamilton is a tough place to live in. If you can put up with the drug addicts and the homeless roaming the streets, not to mention the nightly shootings, then you'll be fine but that's getting to be the case in all major cities in Canada. I live in the east end in the Rosedale area so I don't have any major problems.

In today's media presser Stein is directly asked about the status of the suspended Seth Small. He'll be with us at some point this season, we'd like to keep this in house but his absence was nothing surprising so we expected this. Translation: Seth Small will not be a Tiger-Cat this year.

In today's media presser Stein is directly asked about the status of the suspended Seth Small. He'll be with us at some point this season, we'd like to keep this in house but his absence was nothing surprising so we expected this. Translation: Seth Small will not be a Tiger-Cat this year. When I read that, i immediately thought Small was asking for a raise. |

Promising rookie might be hurt or he might not. Starting kicker a no-show at camp but nobody knows why.
Even after a roster blowup, vault door blown off, coaching staff shakeup. Stein is still keeping things on-brand.

Hamilton is a tough place to live in. If you can put up with the drug addicts and the homeless roaming the streets, not to mention the nightly shootings, then you'll be fine but that's getting to be the case in all major cities in Canada. I live in the east end in the Rosedale area so I don't have any major problems. People say the same thing about Cambridge, alleging you can walk around & see discarded needles, drug addicts, etc. In the 12 years I've lived here, I've never seen a discarded needle, & I ride my bike every day once May hits, so it's not like I'm just driving my car around town. There is a place around downtown Galt where you can see sketchy characters, & some of them live in tents outside the building where their buddies reside, but that's it. I've never felt unsafe here, but I never really felt unsafe in Hamilton either. In any case, looking around the Crown Point area, hoping to find a place in the next couple of weeks. Anyway, anyone hoping to get any confirmation on McGriff from Steinauer is dreaming. The guy claims Johnson will be ok & the next day he gets 6-gamed, lol. As for Small, the dude was very reliable after we settled on him, so I'm betting it's about money. And considering the raft of crappy kickers we went through before we settled on him, I say pay the dude. Especially in a hosting season. He's earned it. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe he has some kind of job in the states that needs him until mid-June or something, who knows? Stein does, & he's not telling, lol. |

Anyone else picture Mike Kelly while reading this? lol that’s exactly who I was thing of. Internal matter, being handled internally. The other thing I thought of and hope it’s not the case but there may have been some issue with the birth, some illness they don’t want to disclose, postpartum issues with his wife etc. if that’s the case then I could understand the privacy. The kickers they brought in both seem to have decent college resumes and looked competent last Saturday so I don’t think we’re in a Domagala/Bertolet situation. I think we’ll be ok either way. |

McGriff. Injury happened on the McMaster campus "an unfortunate incident", but did not involve a motorized vehicle.
Did he get hurt in the weight room/machine/press, etc?
Did he trip in a pothole?
Did he fall down some stairs?
Did he slip in the shower?
Was he being an idiot and did something incredibly silly?
Was he under the influence of recreational substances and thought he could fly?
The wording of things makes me think it was a non-football injury, possibly due to doing something reckless.

Totally a non-football injury. He'll be cut now as the team no longer has to be committed to him. Never mind a season ending injury but it could even be a career ending injury. For McGriff's sake I hope not.
