So this was basically a recap of the games between the teams in 2022? Like almost nothing about the history of the rivalry. We get it. The big fancy city vs. the gritty, hard working steeltown. Lazy, outdated narrative we’ve all heard a million times before. Huge disappointment bordering on false advertising.

To get content.

The games at IWS in the 70s & 80s were an experience. I don't think they even mentioned the overall record or the LD record. Just poor emphasis & empty reporting. They wasted Milty, who has been around since the 70s & could have provided a lot of perspective on the rivalry.

The production itself I thought was pretty slick, but content just focussed on 2022. They could have done a full hour on just the previous history. Maybe even a third segment interviewing ex- players including big names like Theismann, Ricky Williams, Rocket Ismail and try to sell it to ESPN or whoever their broadcast partner will be in the U.S. next year. Regardless it’s a start and hopefully they push new content harder in the coming years.

The city of Hamilton is the immediate 2 minute radius of THF. I mean the Doughnut Box.
Seemed to get bogged down in the personal stories you forgot about the games which was the premise. The on field story got lost.
Could have gone with the times and cities have changed but rivalry remains angle. But as sec25 pointed out it's the same lazy narrative reinforced.
So guaranteed if SSK gets a similar feature be prepared for "heart of the league" "it's a provincial religion" stuff.
The high quality visuals instead of the same old same old TSN aesthetic was welcome.
Should do something similar for Grey Cup. Follow two teams during HC week etc. If HAM isn't in it I won't watch it of course but nevertheless.

This thing was briefly about the rivalry and then it was on to the personal stories of MBT, Evans, Muamba and Lawrence. They should have at least interviewed former players from each team from each decade from at least the 50's on and they're experience of what the actual rivalry was like. It was well produced but was misnamed and they took the easy way out on who to interview. A similar production on the Riders would make you puke and I could hear the interview right now with Suitor talking about how he held the ball perfectly so Dave Ridgway could kick the winning field goal in the '89 Grey Cup game.

Disappointing to hear, haven’t seen the show and was under the impression that it would dig into the history of this heated rivalry. Lots of ups and downs for both franchises including the 1983 Eastern Final (PI call) and the Argonauts collapse in the 1986 2 game total point Eastern Final. TSN continues to disappoint as the leagues broadcast partner which is no surprise.
