Timmy, Dane and Woods taking the game back. When was the last time you ever saw a Ticat team win a game that way? Not hanging on for dear life on defence and squeaking one out, but actually driving down the field and having to score a winning touchdown (not field goal) in the dying seconds? Like, ever? 2019 against BC? 2022 July against Ottawa?

YOU ASKED TO BE CALLED CRAZY! I WAS DOING YOU A SOLID! Good point. I had a feeling and bet the game. Happy I did.

Some other nice performances - Richard Leonard, I’ve bitched about him through the year but he came up big tonight. Besides the two picks came up quite a bit to support against the run and made some open field tackles. Howsare seemed to be getting good pressure all game, and of course the pick. Seth Small outstanding job. Santos-Knox running down plays all over the field. Kam Kelly solid as usual.
Tough night for Hills. I’m sure he’ll bounce back but he’s gotta protect that ball, fumbled against Sask at the end as well. Still think they should have used him more especially in the second half.
Mulumba and Okafor having to step in at DT. Hopefully McKinley Johnson can play inside and Laurent gets bubble wrapped before next game.

Even the morning after, I'm happy, but being in a position where we orchestrate the game winning drive to take one from one of the better teams playing in front of their home crowd feels....strange. Don't get me wrong, I could get used to it, lol. That long throw to White was really a hail mary, could have gone either way. Normally, they don't go ours. The D really looked like it was missing Johnson in the middle, and Wynn of course. Hope Diallo is ok, his injury looked bad. And I feel for Ciante Evans, he just made it back into the lineup. Hopefully, his isn't serious, we need him at corner.

Evans threw up a good 50/50 ball and White went up and did the rest. The reason it doesn't usually go out way is we don't normally make those plays like Rhymes or Kenny Lawler make. It was nice to see Tim White make a play like that.

It was nice to see Tim White make a play like that. I disagree with the basic notion that it was a “Hail Mary” - it was a called, single WR route - Hail Mary’s usually involve multiple WRs and Defenders in a tight space - that is not what this was - this was a called Post Route, where Tim (with his world class speed) beat the Corner, who jumped for the ball, but because of placement was just out of reach - the contact came after the catch when Tim had landed, and was by the safety who was held in the middle - the throw was 58 yards into a stiff wind and was probably 1-2 yards short of Tim just running into the EZ on that play - that’s called a shot play and is far from a Hail Mary/desperation situation (even tho the timing of this screams desperation, it was just a shot play - that, in my opinion, we don’t take near enough of!!) I understand the feeling of the Hail Mary - but I think we were still a couple plays away from the desperation aspect - If Tim doesn’t beat the corner, Dane checks down and moves us a little closer with a level 2 throw - anyway, WHAT A FREAKING PLAY - and yes, we need more of those!!!

I agree, it wasn't a hail Mary. From what I remember on the play, I think that the wind affecting the pass was a GOOD thing. Because White had (finally) good positioning, he was able to come back to the ball with a DB behind/to the side of him, which had the potential of a DPI penalty (same result). I have been very hard on White since the GC, and I have to give credit where it's due - he outright made two great plays in a row. What frustrates me about the man is that he seems to take too many plays "off" or mentally "check-out" if he isn't the primary target. Of course, what we see on a TV screen skews my opinion (we don't see the route patterns, blocks, rubs, etc) on every play, but he is simply not consistent enough. I can't count the number of times a pass hit him IN BOTH HANDS and they either fall incomplete, or he thinks he's playing volleyball, and sets the ball for a smash, and it gets intercepted.
I have lamented the loss of a "possession receiver" for a while, but I think Dunbar could fit that mould. Relatively bigger, stronger physique, and fairly sure hands. Too bad we can't have 5 Fantuz clones with 4.4 speed... lol
