The majority of NCAA Division 1 football teams have at least one Ozzie kicker/punter on the roster . That nose of the ball down kicking style seems to have replaced the spiral that we all practised as a kid . * Here's a little aside from that other CFL forum . I suggested that Bertolet might be replaced on the roster by another American . That American didn't have to be a kicker . In fact a DB was added to replace Lawrence(DB) . With the new low bar on the CFL forum , it was insinuated that I don't know who our kickers are . Everybody knows it's Cam Fraser and Steve Oneschuk . Pat Lynch (just shakin' my head) I remember Steve Oneschuk well. . . he was Vice Principal at Hill Park when I attended there. He also ran as the PC candidate on Hamilton Mountain one election. . . as i recall he didn't fare too well that time. I think it was provincial but I do not recall the year. Another Hill Park Grad eh!
Oneschuk was not a VP in my 5 years there (93 to 98).
I'm likely a bit younger than many of the CFL fans....although not young (at age 41).

Lol. If only I wasn't too lazy to go looking for a sarcasm emoji when I made my post. I fully expect Masoli to start. Surprised no one has yet made the assertion that he has pics of Stein & Condell in a compromising position with an ostrich, cause it would take at least 2 guys to f*ck an ostrich. (For Letterkenny fans) On an unrelated note, the mods here have turned on swear removal button. Only 1 word is censored because according to other board owners it attracts more "bot" usernames (we had a couple try to join already). No issue with the actual intent to use the word, especially this season. Good to know. I have a feeling I'm gonna need my profanity in the upcoming weeks.  |

You two sound like you're ready for the "home" Sadly we have some openings . Canada lost a local hero yesterday . Jack Callowhill , was the last of the original Canadian/American special forces from WW2 . A movie depicted them as the Devil's Brigade but the Nazis called them the Black Devils . They attacked at night and left their calling cards suggesting they'd be back . Jack received the Congressional Medal of Honour in Washington . I was lucky to have met this 98 year old hero . He'll be remembered .

I can not understand how our management would chose an International Player in training camp over a similar Canadian , bad ratio decision , unless Ferraro was injured , he's local from Guelph I hear (?). Because you have to dress and play International players. There's hundreds of millions of soccer players world-wide, millions of rugby players world wide, and there's one continent that plays a "third" type of football with tens of thousands playing. All three games involve kicking a ball with a foot, and two of those games use oblong balls. It's not unreasonable to think that finding a guy who can either punt, placekick, or both would be fairly easy.
Remember, the first "real" International player was brought in by the Ticats and counted as a "Non-Import" - Jopsh Bartel. I mean, technically Ozzy was born in England and still counted as an N/I.... |
