Post game presser: "it always comes down to execution". Not that I'm surprised he said this, but why can't he acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, their game plans aren't tailored to the strengths of the players onbthe roster? "there has to be better questions than this!"

Imagine Stein trying to peddle "ya gotta execute" again. What am I saying it would take zero imagination. Stein is a total hack.

Steinauer has to go. Anything else is just window-dressing. Normally I would have disagreed... but after watching today's shitshow it seems the rot is to the core I can't wrap my head around replacing Newman with Morton.... this isn't preseason it's labour day... mess around with tryouts another week, like said in two weeks against winnipeg when you KNOW we've got no chance, instead of this week, where anything's possible. That wasn't even the worst of it for me tho. The game was already out of reach. 4th Q, down three scores. Newman actually moving the ball fairly well... Zero clock management. at least take advantage of the situation to practice the 2 minute drill, no? Ball on the 25 seconds left, ball on the TO21. we got off two plays, one sack, one completion underneath with no effort to get into the endzone, when scoring probably at least puts a slight salve on the psyche of this team. That's just brutal. No leadership, no goal, no drive, no resistance from the players (ffs throw some hands or something, you're getting embarrassed, might as well get ejected and make the fans think you give a damn) NOTHING. If my seats weren't already paid for, I don't think i'd be heading to another game this year. I can get just as angry from the comfort of my couch, and my snacks are better

This post made me snort ginger ale through my nose:
"There weren't enough big moves, but most fans on the forum this off-season were:
a) happy to have the QB question resolved and were supportive of Evans;
b) mad about J'Gared Davis leaving; and,
c) seemingly content with the O-Line.
My points being, I think we, as a group, were wrong on all of the above. We haven't missed Davis, the O-Line was a complete disaster and whether that led to Dane's problems it certainly made them worse."
I had to correct him... lol

1. Happy with the QB situation being resolved.
2. Questioned both the OLine and Receiving group, stating that it was unfair to leave our franchise QB with such a poor unit.
3. Questioned letting Banks, Davis and ESPECIALLY Acklin walk.
4. Weren't sold on Durant, Fontana or Tavai as viable replacements.
5. Wanted to actually see a guy like Burt do something before giving him any praise.
Got called names, fan status questioned, toxic, etc.

Consider this. Eugene Lewis is a free agent after this year. Let's see how real the Khari factor is and how serious the regime is about building a winner again.

What no one forsaw was how ordinary the defense was going to be. Was advertised as dominant.

I figured the secondary would have issues due to the loses they had. I figured the defense would be good overall. They really have the problem is they are on the field way to much.

I don't really agree with that. There have been games where Hamilton led the time of possession and we were told they were gassed. From what? Winnipeg has had average offensive games and their D always bails them out.

Oh I am not saying that they are a top defense. I do not overall think that they are too many pieces away from being a top notch defense. Some better defensive linemen and coaching would go a long way.
