Interesting pick up, I was wondering if they would look at him again after I saw that he had been released.

The team may want to keep an eye on what happens with Brayden Lenius in the NFL. Big Canadian slotback who would be a free agent if he returns. Of course, they would still have to throw him the ball.

They will have to throw money at him too. money that can go to the Defense (at least in Orlondo's book).

Very true. Sask will go back after him hard and maybe anyone else needing a Canadian receiver. Cats might hold some money aside for Kalinic and Jordan Murray instead if they come back. I’m trying to remember if there were any promising defensive ends that went to the NFL but I’m drawing a blank. At this point I would say that would be our only need on defence.

If Kalinic comes back what's the use case for Burt? Read all about him being a dominant slot back, haven't seen any of that yet.

Why they haven't used Burt, like they did Kalinic, by getting him involved as a pass catcher is mind boggling if you believe all the hype about Burt the day he was drafted #1.

In fairness, they hadn't really used Kalinic as a receiver since 2019 either.... i miss those plays in the red zone

They did have that nice throw to Garand-Gauthier a couple of weeks ago. I'd like to see more of that

Reminiscent of FB Rob Pavlovic in the Taaffe era. Used him in red zone perfectly early in the 08 season and never went back to that play until after labour day when season already went down the pan.
